The historic Kiowa Garage is steeped in history. Built in the early 1900's, it was the only indoor parking in the town of Kiowa with the inception of "motor vehicles". Originally this down town icon sat next to the hotel and became victim to a fire from one of the motor vehicles being parked inside from a resident of the hotel. This building was rebuilt in 1924 and soon became the full service filling station where it served customers until the 1980's. Today this building features Highway 86 frontage and the old gas pumps still remain as does most of the items from the filling station inside. The garage is 4800 square feet and is in dilapidated condition. There currently is no working electric and sewer and water were disconnected many years ago. The lot is over 15000 square feet and sits in the prime commercial zone of downtown Kiowa. There are many visions to restore this building or scrape and have a premier commercial lot. Buyer will be responsible for contacting the Town of Kiowa to understand sewer, water and zoning. Seller says make an offer on a piece of Kiowa history.
